Williamstown Gifted and Talented Education

 

 

     The Williamstown Independent School District identifies and serves gifted youth within our schools to ensure an appropriate level of instruction for each student to reach his/her potential.  High potential learners at the primary level and formally identified gifted students in grades 4-12 are provided services to differentiate their instruction therefore meeting their individual needs. Our schools offer students in the PTP (Primary Talent Pool - Grades K-3), or in formal  identification at grades 4-12,  multiple service delivery options such as acceleration, honors and Advanced Placement courses, collaborative teaching, consultation services, creativity opportunities, special counseling services, distance learning, enrichment services, independent study, leadership opportunities, consortiums, pull-out classes, seminars, and individualized or cluster grouping differentiated instructional strategies.
